The bridge-building between Textile Innovatorium and HIT is making targeted progress: For the joint processing of projects from the textile sector, a coating system specifically for textiles and other material webs was installed in the HIT surface center on June 30, 2021. This expands the possibilities of the high-throughput portfolio with an application module for textile application. The system offers the possibility of applying materials in a defined manner to a textile in a roll-to-roll process by means of various, optionally heated application heads. In the future, this basic system will be expanded by user-specific functional units and continuously adapted to current project requirements.
