Cutting Edge: The digital workshop of the HIT Institute demonstrated cutting edge technology for the paint industry 4.0 based on the iHIT Solution Engine

Accompanied by the film team of the Vincentz publishing house, which is a leader in the German market as a provider of technical information for the German-speaking coatings industry, the HIT Institute of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences offered a fascinating insight into the state of the art of high-throughput technology in the OPEN INNOVATION SPACE.

Participants received concrete information about the full scope of digital coating chemistry via the presentation of the laboratory newly established at the HIT Surface Center.
The scientific staff used the example of several instrument stations to explain how today the smart use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in paint and coatings chemistry can already minimize the factors of time, cost and resources.

The Interreg V A funded project D-NL-HIT project is permanently establishing new contacts in the industry on a daily basis. This is because the most relevant European companies are keeping a close eye on how revolutionary this technology already is and how fast development is progressing here. The cooperation program with numerous companies thus gives t small and medium-sized companies the opportunity to use this innovative process to their advantage locally. And thus to be many steps ahead of the competition.
